Set on 22 secluded hectares of native bush on Kawau Island — just a 45 minute drive from Auckland CBD — Parohe's accommodation is designed to disappear into the landscape. Wake to the bush or coastal views, step outside to an oasis, and let Kawau do the rest.

Choose from 17 Scandinavian-inspired, eco-luxe rooms set across our Kawau Island property — in Cabins, Cabanas, the Villa, or the historic Honeymoon Cottage (built in the 1860s). Some rooms sit just two minutes from Enchantment Pavilion, our dining and retreat hub; others are a scenic ten-minute walk through native bush.

Every room has its own ensuite, with beach cabins featuring outdoor showers. Choose from king beds or twin configurations. The Villa and Cabana suite include their own kitchens and lounges for those wanting extra space (surcharge applies to the Villa).

In-room amenities are sourced here in Aotearoa. Enjoy naturopathic-grade herbal teas from Tea Total and additive-free bath products from Nellie Tier.

Parohe accommodates up to 32 guests (17 solo guests, 16 couples, or 26 guests with some sharing in twin rooms). We have space for unlimited day guests at events and corporate retreats.

Beyond your room, guests have full access to Parohe's wellness facilities, which include outdoor baths, sauna, swimming pool, and yoga platforms, as well as land and water activities including kayaking and paddleboarding.
